Aayush Shah, known for his roles in shows like Mahabharat, has taken legal action against Bishwajit Ghosh and Piyalee Chatterjee Ghosh, directors of MyFledge Private Limited, alleging a ₹4.44 crore loan fraud. Shah, along with his sister Mausam Shah, who co-founded the public relations firm Maars Communicates, filed a criminal case against the directors, including Shabab Husain, under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
According to the complaint, Bishwajit Ghosh, described as a struggling singer, initially approached Aayush Shah for entertainment-related work. Over time, Ghosh and his wife, Piyalee Chatterjee Ghosh, built a rapport with Aayush and Mausam, leveraging their PR agency's expertise. They allegedly convinced the siblings to extend financial loans, claiming that MyFledge Private Limited, an aviation and vocational training company with a pan-India presence, was flourishing and needed funds for expansion. They promised lucrative returns in exchange.
To build trust, the directors initially made timely payments of profits and presented what appeared to be ICICI Bank statements showing transactions, along with property documents, to demonstrate financial stability. MyFledge Private Limited claimed to have training centers in multiple cities, further reinforcing their credibility to investors and students.
However, the situation took a turn when 32 checks issued by Bishwajit Ghosh and Piyalee Chatterjee Ghosh, totaling ₹4.44 crore, bounced upon deposit. Further investigation revealed that the ICICI Bank statements shared via WhatsApp were fabricated, and their claims of owning property were false.
Aayush Shah stated that they trusted the company based on the presented documents, which later turned out to be forged. He emphasized the need for strict legal action to ensure that Bishwajit Ghosh and Piyalee Chatterjee Ghosh receive the maximum sentence for their fraudulent activities, as their entire operation is built on deception. Mausam Shah added that the situation was a calculated scam designed to exploit trust over several years and urged authorities to take strict action.
A Mumbai court has summoned Bishwajit Ghosh in the cheque bounce case and directed him to appear in court on September 25, 2025. Aayush Shah has also filed a forgery complaint with the Oshiwara police station and plans to move to the Bombay High Court to file a case for forgery and cheating.
MyFledge Private Limited and its directors have faced accusations of misleading students with false promises of job opportunities, non-payment to employees and technicians, forgery, and document tampering.
