Rajat Bedi, a familiar face from '90s Bollywood, is making a comeback with Aryan Khan's debut web series, "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," now streaming on Netflix. In a recent interview, Bedi opened up about his reasons for leaving the industry and his experiences in Bollywood.

Bedi, known for his villainous roles, revealed that he felt "used and abused" in the film industry. He expressed that he faced negative consequences as a result of trusting people, a situation that also occurred during his time as a real estate developer in Canada. He stated that these experiences ultimately led him back to India.

Specifically, Bedi addressed his experience with the film "Koi... Mil Gaya," a blockbuster in which he played a role. He revealed his disappointment at being excluded from the film's publicity, which focused primarily on Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Rakesh Roshan. Bedi also claimed that his track with Preity Zinta was cut from the film. Despite this, he acknowledges that people still recognize and appreciate him for his role in the film. He also added that working with Rakesh Roshan was a wonderful experience.

Bedi also touched upon the importance of having a support system in the industry, stating that he lacked a "backbone" after his father, filmmaker Narendra Bedi, passed away.

Aryan Khan, director of "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," specifically wanted Bedi for the role of Jaraj Saxena, a character that claws his way back into the film industry after being sidelined for 15 years. Bedi said that Aryan was a big fan of "Koi... Mil Gaya" during his childhood and was sure he wanted Bedi for the role. Bedi was surprised and grateful when Khan reached out to him through mutual acquaintances. He was also impressed by Aryan's humility and respectfulness.

"The Ba***ds of Bollywood" marks Bedi's return to the screen after 16 years. He sees the rise of OTT platforms as a "great blessing" for actors and technicians, providing more opportunities to showcase their work. Bedi also mentioned that he was called for these projects because of his past work in films.

Rajat Bedi comes from a film family; he is the son of filmmaker Narendra Bedi and the grandson of writer Rajinder Singh Bedi. He also mentioned that his son is preparing to make his acting debut.
