Ashnoor Kaur, currently a contestant on Bigg Boss 19, has recently opened up about the demanding experiences she faced as a child actor in the television industry. In a candid interview with Hauterrfly, Kaur revealed the grueling work hours she endured, recalling one instance where she worked 30 hours straight at the age of six.

Kaur began her acting career at the age of four with the show Jhansi Ki Rani, quickly becoming a popular child artist. She went on to star in several well-known television shows, including Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Shobha Somnath Ki, Mahabharat, and Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev. Her role as Mini Khurana in Patiala Babes (2018–2020) catapulted her to further fame, establishing her as a lead actor.

Despite her success, Kaur's early years in the industry were marked by significant challenges. She recounted a time when, at the age of six, she was shooting for the show Shobha Somnath Ki and had to work continuously for 30 hours. "I was so tired that I couldn't function at all," Kaur said. Her mother suggested she take a nap in the vanity van, with production staff waiting outside for her to resume.

In addition to the demanding work schedule, Kaur also spoke about the body image issues she faced as a teenager. She admitted to putting herself through harsh water-only diets in an effort to look a certain way for her shows. "I fainted on set once, but I didn't tell anybody that I wasn't eating," she revealed. Kaur's experience highlights the pressures faced by young actors in the industry, where maintaining a certain appearance can be seen as crucial for success.

Kaur noted that she now has the privilege of working for only 12 hours a day, a stark contrast to her early experiences. Her story echoes the experiences of other television actors who have spoken out about the grueling work hours in the industry. Shweta Tiwari admitted to working 72 hours straight, Hiten Tejwani revealed working over 48 hours continuously, and Krystle D'Souza recalled fainting on set after working 60 hours non-stop. D'Souza mentioned that ambulances had to be called when actors collapsed from exhaustion. She revealed that she would receive IV drips and medication on set to continue shooting, as there was no time to go to the hospital.
