Winter hopes Alex has found herself and put effort into finding her heart and what she loves personally because she's achieved so much professionally. She also believes Alex could have afforded a more flourishing life and branched out in more areas while still having her career.
Winter has previously spoken about the possibility of a Modern Family revival. In a 2022 interview with PopCulture.com, she stated that the cast would "love to get back to work and work together again". However, she also acknowledged that the way the story ended was "perfect for the show". She suggested that a continuation of where they left off would be difficult, given that the actors have all gotten older.
