Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj are reuniting for a new film titled O' Romeo, a romantic action thriller slated for release on Valentine's Day 2026. The film marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, following Kaminey (2009), Haider (2014), and Rangoon (2017). O' Romeo also marks the first collaboration between Triptii Dimri, Vishal, and Shahid.
The film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, and Farida Jalal in key roles, with a special appearance by Disha Patani. Shahid Kapoor announced the film's title and shared the first-look poster on Instagram. The poster features Shahid with his face partially concealed by a hat. The film is described as a visually rich action thriller with romantic elements. A short preview of the film's title track has also been released. The song is sung by Arijit Singh.
Shahid Kapoor expressed his excitement about working with Vishal Bhardwaj again, noting that O' Romeo presents him with a "madly different character" to play. The shooting for O' Romeo commenced in January 2025 and wrapped up last month. The film completed its shooting schedule in Spain in August.
In other news, actress Karishma Sharma, best known for her role in Ragini MMS Returns, has been discharged from the hospital after being involved in a frightening train accident in Mumbai. Karishma was hospitalized for treatment and is now recovering in stable condition. The accident occurred while Karishma was heading to a shoot at Churchgate railway station. Following the incident, she was taken to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Doctors performed an MRI and kept her under observation to ensure that the head injury was not serious.
