The trailer for Dhanush's highly anticipated directorial venture, Idli Kadai, is set to be launched on September 20th at Prozone Mall in Coimbatore. This announcement has created a buzz among fans, who are eagerly awaiting the film's worldwide release on October 1st.

Idli Kadai marks Dhanush's fourth directorial project, following Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. In addition to directing, Dhanush also plays the lead role of Murugan in the film. The movie boasts an ensemble cast, including Nithya Menen as Kayalvizhi, Sathyaraj as Vishnu Varadhan, Arun Vijay as Ashwin, Samuthirakani as Marisamy, Rajkiran as Sivanesan, Shalini Pandey as Meera, and Parthiban as R Arivu. Arun Vijay plays the villain, while Shalini Pandey appears as Dhanush's sister.

The film is produced by Akash Bhaskaran through Dawn Pictures and Dhanush through Wunderbar Pictures. GV Prakash, a frequent collaborator of Dhanush, is composing the music for Idli Kadai. Other technical crew members include cinematographer Kiran Koushik, editor GK Prasanna, and art director Jackson.

The audio launch of Idli Kadai was held on September 14th in Chennai. At the event, Dhanush shared that the film is a nostalgic tribute to his childhood, during which he sold flowers to earn money for idlis. He also mentioned that the film draws inspiration from real-life characters and events that had a significant impact on him.

Hamsini Entertainment is distributing the film worldwide, and it will also be released in France, presented by 180 Entertainment. In Telugu, the movie will be released under the title Idli Kottu.

Expectations are high for the Idli Kadai trailer, with fans eager to learn more about the film's story, characters, and overall tone. Following the successful audio launch, the trailer launch event in Coimbatore is expected to further amplify the film's promotional momentum. Inban Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu’s Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, will receive his first film credit as a distributor for Idli Kadai.

Dhanush's previous directorial venture, NEEK, did not perform as expected at the box office, making Idli Kadai a highly anticipated project to see if he can impress audiences this time around.
