Jolly LLB 3, the latest installment in the beloved courtroom comedy-drama franchise, has arrived in theaters, bringing with it the much-anticipated clash of two iconic "Jollys" – Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film blends humor, legal battles, and social commentary, diving into the struggles of farmers while delivering a gripping courtroom drama.

The story of Jolly LLB 3 centers around Janki, a farmer's widow portrayed by Seema Biswas. Following her husband's suicide due to the forceful seizure of their land by a powerful company, Janki embarks on a quest for justice. She seeks the help of Jolly Tyagi (Arshad Warsi) to represent her in court. On the opposing side is Jolly Mishra (Akshay Kumar), who defends the company, setting the stage for a courtroom showdown. The ever-exasperated Judge Sunderlal Tripathi, played by Saurabh Shukla, mediates the proceedings.

The film explores themes of ambition, corruption, and justice, maintaining the series' signature blend of comic and social commentary through clever courtroom banter, emotional depth, and intelligent conflicts. Jolly LLB 3 also takes a sharp dig at the mindset of industrialists and opportunistic economists who prioritize profits over people.

While both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi deliver commendable performances, critics have pointed out that Warsi's screen time is minimized in the second half. However, Kapoor gives Warsi due credit in a heartwarming twist. Saurabh Shukla, reprising his role as the judge, steals the show with his strong yet endearing performance. Seema Biswas delivers a powerful and emotional performance as Janki, bringing depth and pain to the role of a farmer's widow. Gajraj Rao, as the wealthy businessman Haribhai Khetan, plays his part with conviction. Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi reprise their roles from previous films, though their characters have been described as underused.

The film is not without its flaws. Some reviews mention that the writing wobbles between comedy and tragedy without landing gracefully. Moments outside the courtroom sometimes stretch the film unnecessarily. At one point, the film takes a dramatic turn, and an unannounced song seems forced. However, the film deserves credit for picking up a sensitive and socially relevant issue—the struggles of farmers and the forced land acquisition in the name of cosmopolitan development.

Despite its imperfections, Jolly LLB 3 is consistently engaging and knows how to entertain. The courtroom hearings are the film's crown jewel, with arguments rising like arias, objections slicing through them, and the judge's interjections bringing comic relief. The chemistry and comic timing between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are on point. The film successfully tells an important story without being preachy, makes a strong comment on a societal issue without creating a mess out of the pathos, and entertains the audience without fail.

Jolly LLB 3 was released on September 19, 2025.
