The Duncanville Panthers defeated the Waxahachie Indians with a score of 20-9 in a highly anticipated high school football game held on Friday night.

Duncanville came into the game ranked No. 4 in the nation by Sporting News. This game was only the second time Duncanville has been on the field this season, due to having two bye weeks in the first three weeks of the Texas high school football season. Duncanville only has eight regular-season games scheduled this year.

Waxahachie entered the contest with a 2-0 record, boosted by impressive victories over Ennis (44-13) and Forney (35-14).

The game between Duncanville and Waxahachie was a District 11-6A showdown. The game was held at Lumpkins Stadium and started at 7:00 PM. Digital tickets were available for purchase via GoFan, and the game was also streamed live on the NFHS Network.

Duncanville is considered a perennial national powerhouse. Prior to this game, Duncanville was ranked No. 2 in Texas and had a 1-0 record. In their previous matchup in 2024, Duncanville defeated Waxahachie with a score of 41-17. Waxahachie had a strong 2-0 record and was ranked No. 17 in the state before the game.
