Delhi Schools Under Threat: Bomb Alerts Trigger Evacuations at DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model, and Multiple Other Institutions.

Multiple schools in Delhi, including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, received bomb threat calls early on the morning of September 20, 2025. Promptly, police teams, fire personnel, and bomb disposal units were dispatched to the affected schools. As a precautionary measure, students and staff were evacuated to safer areas while thorough searches of the premises were conducted. Some schools in the Najafgarh area also received bomb threats.

DPS Dwarka issued a notice stating that the school would remain closed on Saturday, September 20, 2025, due to "unavoidable circumstances". School buses and private transport were immediately sent back, and parents were asked to pick up their children from the stops. The mid-term exams scheduled for the day were also postponed, with fresh dates to be announced later.

This recent bomb threat is the latest in a series of similar incidents in Delhi. Just a month prior, schools in Delhi were placed on high alert following a similar threat. On August 20, 2025, over 50 schools in the National Capital Region received a bomb threat via email from a group identifying itself as 'Terrorisers 111,' who demanded $25,000. Earlier last week, bomb threats were also sent to three Max Hospitals and the Taj Palace hotel, but these were later confirmed to be hoaxes. The Delhi High Court also received bomb threats last week, which led to high-alert measures, suspension of hearings, and evacuation of the premises.

Since January, Delhi-NCR has experienced a cycle of hoax emails, with over 150 schools and colleges being targeted in just eight months. Each incident triggers evacuations, security checks, and concern from parents.

The police are currently investigating the source of the threats. The repeated incidents have raised concerns about safety and security in educational institutions across Delhi.
