Charli XCX and George Daniel, drummer for The 1975, celebrated their marriage with a second wedding ceremony in Sicily, Italy on September 13, 2025. This followed their initial, more intimate civil ceremony in Hackney Town Hall, London, on July 19, 2025. The Sicilian celebration was a larger, star-studded affair.
For the ceremony, Charli XCX wore a custom-designed sheer white gown by Danielle Frankel. The dress featured spaghetti straps, a short V-neckline, and a floor-length skirt with a train. The translucent material revealed a white boned corset and matching underwear. She paired the gown with white leather pumps and diamond drop earrings, foregoing a veil and carrying a bouquet of small white flowers. Daniel wore a tan suit over a cream button-down shirt, left open at the neck.
The guest list included a host of celebrities, friends, and collaborators. Daniel's bandmates from The 1975, Matty Healy, Ross MacDonald, and Adam Hann were in attendance. Matty Healy was accompanied by his mother, Denise Welch, and his fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel. Other notable attendees included artists Beabadoobee, Clairo, Troye Sivan, Shygirl, Caroline Polachek, Robyn and Julia Fox. Also present were playwright Jeremy O'Harris, and Richie Shazam.
Many of Charli's collaborators also attended, including her producer A.G. Cook, her manager Katie Rowley, songwriters Finn Keane and Lotus IV, Aidan Zamiri (director of the "360" music video), and Petra Collins (who photographed Charli's Skims campaign).
Photos from the event show the couple walking hand-in-hand, sharing their first kiss after exchanging vows, and pouring sparkling pink wine into stacked coup glasses. Charli was also seen wearing white wraparound sunglasses.
The celebration included a performance by Yung Lean, with Charli XCX joining him on stage in a black leather bra top. Matty Healy reportedly took over the DJ booth at one point, playing "Call Me Maybe" while smoking a cigarette. Charli herself also took a turn as DJ.
The couple's engagement was announced in November 2023. A source told People that Charli and George had "always dreamed of a big party in Italy" and wanted "somewhere beautiful and private, where all their friends can let loose". Another source mentioned that the couple wanted the ceremony to feel "special and personal, but not over-the-top".
