Gen V's sophomore season has arrived on Prime Video, continuing the dark and satirical exploration of superheroes in college. Season 2 premiered on September 17, 2025, with the first three episodes available immediately. The remaining five episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays, culminating in the season finale on October 22, 2025.
Following the events of both Gen V Season 1 and The Boys Season 4, the new season sees a country on the brink of war between humans and Supes. Marie Moreau and her friends return to Godolkin University after months of imprisonment, finding the campus far from normal. A new dean, Cipher, is focused on transforming students into soldiers, and tensions between Supes and humans are escalating. The group also learns of a secret program tied to the university's founding, which may have major implications, and Marie finds herself at the center of it.
The season picks up after a time jump from the Season 1 finale. While Marie escaped from the prison Elmira, Jordan and Emma remained locked up. Cate used her influence to get Jordan and Emma exonerated and released, but Andre died attempting to escape. The new season will deal with the aftermath of Andre's death and how it impacts the other characters.
The absence of Chance Perdomo, who tragically passed away in March 2024, is addressed in the show. The creators chose not to recast his role as Andre Anderson. Instead, the show acknowledges his death, with the character having died between seasons. The season premiere includes a title card dedicated to Perdomo, and the storyline explores the grief and impact of Andre's death on his friends and family.
Key plot points to watch for in Season 2:
The season stars Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann. Hamish Linklater joins the cast as Dean Cipher.
