The wedding announcement was made on national television during an episode of their reality show, "Pati Patni Aur Panga".

The couple unveiled their wedding invitation on the show, revealing an elaborate miniature mandap featuring a bride and groom taking their pheras. Below the design was a hidden compartment containing their wedding invitation. The unique invitation left other contestants on the show speechless. Avika, emphasizing the significance of colors, declared that the actual wedding mandap would mirror the one on the invitation, and their wedding would take place in front of the entire world. Milind added that Avika started as a bride on the same channel in reel life, and now she will become his bride in real life on the same platform.

The wedding celebrations are coinciding with the auspicious Navratri period. The couple commenced the festivities by visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings. Avika, dressed in a traditional yellow and red saree, and Milind, in a kurta pyjama, spoke to the media and posed for photographs outside the temple. Avika shared their joy and excitement about entering a new chapter with the blessings of their families and well-wishers. She also mentioned that they would begin sending out wedding invites after their temple visit, making the moment even more special.

Avika has been in the public eye since 2008 and considers the love and blessings she has received from people very special. Avika and Milind have been together since 2020. They met in Hyderabad in 2019, where Avika was shooting for a film, and got engaged in June 2025. Avika described Milind as logical, calm, and always prepared, while she considers herself dramatic. Despite their differences, they fit perfectly together.
