Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's friendship wasn't always strong. In fact, Aamir admitted that he "didn't like" Salman during the filming of Andaz Apna Apna in 1994, finding him "rude and inconsiderate" due to his habit of arriving late on set. This led Aamir to initially want to avoid working with Salman again.
However, their relationship took an unexpected turn during a difficult period in Aamir's life. Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta were married for 16 years before divorcing in 2002. Aamir confessed to struggling emotionally after the split, even confessing to having suicidal thoughts and battling alcohol dependence.
