Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar Face Off in Thrilling Crime Drama Bhagwat: First Look Revealed.

Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar are set to star in the upcoming crime thriller "Bhagwat," a ZEE5 original film inspired by true events. Produced by Jio Studios in association with Baweja Studios and Dog 'n' Bone Pictures, the film is directed by Akshay Shere.

The film centers around Inspector Vishwas Bhagwat (Arshad Warsi), who gets involved in a missing woman's case that appears routine at first. However, the investigation soon leads him into a complex web of deceit, secrets, and suspected trafficking. Amidst the suspense, a romance develops between Meera and Sameer (Jitendra Kumar), a professor, adding an unexpected layer of vulnerability to the narrative and contrasting with the tension of the main plot.

ZEE5 recently unveiled a motion poster for "Bhagwat" with the caption: "And we thought all the plot twists of 2025 were over, but the biggest one is here… Bhagwat is coming to blow your mind". The film promises to be a dark, twist-filled ride rooted in realism.

Arshad Warsi, fresh off the buzz from "Jolly LLB 3," takes on a darker, more dramatic role, which is a return to the complex characters that fans have loved him for. Jitendra Kumar, known for his relatable role in "Panchayat," will be seen in a more intense avatar, marking a departure from his usual comedic roles.

The ensemble cast of "Bhagwat" includes Ayesha Kanga, Tara Alisha Berry, and Rashmi Rajput, suggesting a layered narrative with multiple perspectives. The film is set against the backdrop of Robertsganj, Uttar Pradesh, blending mystery, emotion, and drama.

Kaveri Das, Business Head, Hindi, ZEE5, said that "Bhagwat" is a gripping thriller that's emotionally layered and suspenseful. She added that Arshad Warsi brings depth to his character, and Jitendra Kumar breaks new ground in a surprising avatar. According to reports from April 2023, Arshad Warsi and Jitendra Kumar have already wrapped up shooting for the film, which mainly took place in Uttar Pradesh.

"Bhagwat" is produced by Harman Baweja, who has also produced films like "Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?" and "Honeymoon". Akshay Shere, the director, has previously worked as an assistant director on Hindi films like "Sarkar" and "Darna Zaroori Hai". Mangesh Dhakde is the music director, and Hemal Kothari is the editor.
