The much-awaited sequel, Awarapan 2, starring Emraan Hashmi, has officially commenced filming. The film, a follow-up to the 2007 cult classic Awarapan, began its first shooting schedule in Bangkok. The film is slated to release on April 3, 2026.
Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui. Vishesh Bhatt is producing the film under the Vishesh Films banner. The makers are aiming to create the same magic as the original, balancing intense emotions with engaging visuals.
The original Awarapan, directed by Mohit Suri, was praised for its storyline, soulful music, and Hashmi's performance.
