On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Ravie Dubey, who is set to play Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, shared a glimpse of his script, igniting excitement among fans. The image, posted on his social media, offers a sneak peek into the highly anticipated film, slated to be one of the grandest projects in Indian cinema.

Dubey's post included a picture of the Ramayana script, bearing his name, emphasizing the film's dedication to honoring Lord Ram. Along with the picture, he shared festive greetings, writing a verse in Hindi that translates to: "The flag of religion is the name of truth, Only your knowledge echoed in every particle. Devotion, power, the dham of knowledge, Patience is rich, great quality, Ram is world victory. Our collective effort our sincere attempt and our only intent is to bring glory to lord Ram's name Jai Sri Ram. Happy Vijay Dashami”.

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is envisioned as a two-part epic, with the first part expected to release in Diwali 2026 and the second in Diwali 2027. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol will portray Hanuman.

The script's cover page reads "Valmiki's Ramayana," clarifying that the film is based on Valmiki's version of the epic. Shridhar Raghavan, who is known for Pathaan (2023), co-wrote the script with Nitesh Tiwari.

Mounted on a massive budget, reported to be around Rs 4000 crore, Ramayana is being produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The film will be released in IMAX worldwide.

Dubey, a well-known television actor, has starred in hit series such as Jamai Raja, Sasural Genda Phool and Tu Aashiqui. He has also participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Nach Baliye.

Earlier this year, in July, Dubey shared a picture from the sets of Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari. He captioned the post with a quote about Lord Ram, expressing his admiration for Kapoor and Tiwari.
