Kriti Sanon has officially wrapped up the Sicily schedule for the highly anticipated film Cocktail 2, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the shoot on social media. The actress posted a carousel of photos on Instagram, featuring the cast and crew, including director Homi Adajania, with the caption, "Ciao my Bellas. And just like that we've wrapped #TheSicilianChapter of #Cocktail2. Sunshine, rain and ending with a beautiful Rainbow". The posts also included photos from their wrap party in Italy.

Cocktail 2 serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit romantic drama Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. Directed by Homi Adajania and written by Imtiaz Ali, the original film revolved around a complex love triangle. The sequel is also directed by Adajania, with the script penned by Luv Ranjan and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.

The film brings together a fresh ensemble cast, including Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. Cocktail 2 marks the first on-screen collaboration between Rashmika Mandanna with both Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Kriti and Shahid were last seen together in the 2024 film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.

While details about the plot are still under wraps, the makers have hinted that the film will have a fresh take on the Cocktail vibe, rather than being a direct continuation of the original story. The original Cocktail was known for its portrayal of modern relationships, its music, and its fashion.

Earlier, Kriti shared moments from her shoot in Sicily, including scenic views and workout sessions. She also shared glimpses of her trip on Instagram, including selfies, scooter rides, skincare routines, sightseeing, and food.

Director Homi Adajania also shared a behind-the-scenes picture on his Instagram Stories, featuring Shahid and Rashmika in matching bathrobes, along with Kriti and himself. The photo gave the impression of being taken after a pool sequence.

Cocktail 2 was first announced by Homi Adajania's wife, celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff, in July of this year. The film is expected to hit theaters in the second half of 2026.

Kriti Sanon is also awaiting the release of Tere Ishk Mein, a spin-off to the 2013 film Raanjhanaa, which is set to release on November 28.
