New Delhi: The Congress party has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following a complaint lodged against Rahul Gandhi regarding his recent "dance" remark targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress leaders have dismissed the BJP's move as an attempt to divert attention from pressing issues, labeling it as "issueless".

The controversy arose after Rahul Gandhi made a remark seemingly mocking PM Modi, which the BJP deemed inappropriate. In response, the BJP filed a complaint with the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), arguing that Gandhi's statement was disrespectful to the Prime Minister's office.

Congress, however, has retaliated, accusing PM Modi of using words like "mujra". Congress leader Pawan Khera questioned the BJP's audacity to object to the word "dance" when PM Modi himself uses terms like "mujra". Khera argued that the BJP is deliberately misinterpreting Gandhi's statement to create a controversy and distract the public from real issues.

"The BJP has no real issues to raise, so they are resorting to these tactics," stated a Congress spokesperson. "They are trying to create a smokescreen to hide their failures and misdeeds. The people of India are not fooled by these antics."

The Congress party has also defended Rahul Gandhi's right to express his views and criticize the government's policies. They argue that in a democracy, it is essential for the opposition to hold the ruling party accountable and raise questions about their performance.

"Rahul Gandhi is doing his job as a responsible opposition leader," the spokesperson added. "He is raising the concerns of the people and holding the government accountable. The BJP should focus on addressing these concerns instead of trying to silence dissenting voices."

This recent spat between the Congress and BJP is the latest in a series of political clashes between the two parties. As the country gears up for upcoming elections, political tensions are expected to rise further, with both parties employing various strategies to gain an edge over the other. The Congress party has accused the BJP of being anti-poor and only working for the rich people of the country, meanwhile BJP has said that Congress has no idea how harmful his Modi-bashing thinking is.
