Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 on Monday in New Delhi. The three-day event, running from November 3rd to 5th, is envisioned as India's premier annual flagship conclave dedicated to accelerating the nation's progress in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI).
ESTIC 2025 serves as a unified platform fostering strategic dialogue and synergy among key stakeholders, aligning efforts with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The conclave will convene policymakers, ministries, academia, industries, start-ups, researchers, and global thought leaders, creating a unique space for the exchange of ideas and collaboration.
The conclave is structured around four core objectives: Advancements in Emerging Science & Technology by brainstorming emerging and critical areas in Science, Technology, and Innovations, with a well-defined road map; Engaging India's future Science & Technology leaders and igniting a sense of commitment to science and innovation through sustainable, inclusive, and transformative technological innovation; Fostering Collaborations by providing a forum for researchers, deep-tech start-ups, industries, funding agencies, and policymakers to promote engagement in high-tech innovations and solutions to position India in the global arena in the S&T domain; Celebrating Stakeholder Contributions by showcasing significant contributions by academia, research institutions, industries, and deep-tech start-ups for India's Journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
NESDAY= The event will feature plenary talks by Nobel Laureates and global key personalities, setting the vision for India's S&T journey towards Viksit Bharat@2047. Furthermore, there will be 11 thematic technical sessions featuring invited talks by top scientists, industry leaders, and policymakers, presentations by S&T Leaders, Women Entrepreneurs and CEOs of Deep-Tech start ups, and panel discussions. Thematic areas include advanced materials & manufacturing, artificial intelligence, bio-manufacturing, blue economy, digital communications, electronics & semiconductor, emerging agriculture technologies, energy, environment & climate, health and medical technologies, quantum science & technology, and space technologies.
Alongside the talks and discussions, ESTIC 2025 will host 75 exhibition stalls by Deep-Tech Startups and Sponsors, as well as 100 poster presentations by young scientists, faculty, and engineers.
The Ministry of AYUSH is also playing a role in the event, highlighting how science and technology can co-create a healthier, sustainable future. They emphasize the transformation of India's healthcare ecosystem through biomedical engineering, AI-based diagnostics, and precision medicine.
ISRO held a curtain raiser event focusing on Space Technologies. During this event, Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Space / Chairman, ISRO, emphasized ISRO's commitment to promoting research, capacity building, and partnerships to drive national progress in space and related technologies.
ESTIC-2025 aspires to serve as a landmark platform that will drive collaboration, inspire innovation, and strengthen India’s role as a key driver of global scientific progress. The conclave aims to enable critical assessment of progress, define strategic priorities, formulate future-ready policies, and create a bold, actionable roadmap for emerging technologies, contributing to building a self-reliant nation and an innovation-driven growth engine.
