In a significant move to enhance its combat readiness and operational synergy, India is set to conduct a major tri-service exercise, "Poorvi Prachand Prahar," in Mechuka, Arunachal Pradesh. This exercise will integrate the capabilities of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, focusing on multi-domain operations in a high-altitude environment.
The exercise aims to validate multi-domain integration across land, air, and maritime fronts, showcasing the evolving readiness of India's military for future conflicts. By integrating warfighting capabilities, technological adaptation, and operational synergy, the exercise will test and refine the Armed Forces' ability to operate in a coordinated manner. The Defence PRO, Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, stated that this forward-looking exercise demonstrates India's military's preparedness for future conflicts.
"Poorvi Prachand Prahar" will focus on refining interoperability and enhancing situational awareness among the three services. A key aspect of the exercise will be the coordinated employment of special forces, unmanned platforms, precision systems, and networked operation centers. These elements will operate in unison under realistic high-altitude conditions, simulating the challenges of modern warfare. The exercise will also focus on testing new tactics and coordination among the forces under realistic conditions. Revised Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) will be tested and validated to reinforce combat agility and adaptability.
The exercise "Poorvi Prachand Prahar" marks a significant milestone in India's tri-service integration efforts, following the successful conduct of Ex Bhala Prahar (2023) and Ex Poorvi Prahar (2024). The exercise highlights the increasing importance of joint operations and the integration of modern technology in the Indian Armed Forces. The coordinated effort aims to create a cohesive and agile fighting force capable of addressing diverse security challenges.
