Tragic Accident in UP: Toddler Dies After Falling Into Bucket of Hot Water.

Etah, UP: A tragic accident in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district has claimed the life of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy. Ayush, the son of Mukesh, died after falling into a bucket of hot water at his home in Bijouli village.

The incident occurred on Saturday in the Kotwali Dehat area. According to police reports, Ayush was playing on a bed when he slipped and fell into a bucket filled with hot water that his mother had prepared for washing clothes. The bucket was placed near the bed.

Upon hearing the commotion, family members rushed the severely burned child to Veerangana Avanti Bai Medical College in Etah. However, doctors at the medical facility declared him dead upon arrival.

Police Inspector Jitendra Kumar Gautam stated that the child died due to severe burns from falling into the boiling water. The family decided not to conduct a post-mortem examination, and the body was prepared for cremation. Police have stated that it appears to be an accidental death, with no signs of negligence or criminal intent.

This unfortunate event has cast a pall of grief over the village, with residents expressing their condolences to the bereaved family. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of keeping hot liquids within reach of young children. Authorities and community leaders are urging parents to exercise extreme caution to prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.

This is not the first such incident in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier this year, in Sonbhadra district, an 18-month-old girl died after falling into a pot of boiling chickpeas. In a bizarre coincidence, her elder sister had also died in a similar accident two years prior. These repeated tragedies highlight the need for increased awareness and preventative measures to protect young children from kitchen-related accidents, especially in households where cooking is done in open areas.
