JP Nadda Claims BJP Coalition Unearths 'HIRA' (Highway, I-way, Railway, Airport) Development in Bihar.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Jagat Prakash Nadda asserted that Bihar has discovered "HIRA" (diamond) under the BJP-led coalition, highlighting the state's growth in connectivity. Nadda, addressing a rally in the Bhojpur district on the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the assembly polls, used the acronym 'HIRA' to emphasize the improvements in highways, internet, railways, and airports in Bihar. He urged voters to support the NDA to ensure Chief Minister Nitish Kumar retains power.

Nadda stated that "H" in HIRA stands for Highways, "I" for the Internet, "R" for Railways, and "A" for Airports, emphasizing the visible improvements in these sectors over the last 20 years. He claimed the Narendra Modi government is rapidly working to alleviate poverty, with over three crore people in Bihar alone having been lifted out of poverty.

Nadda contrasted the NDA's development-focused governance with the opposition RJD, which he alleged stands for "rangdari" (extortion), "jungle raj" (lawlessness), and "dadagiri" (intimidation). He reminded the public of the 'Lathi tel pilawan' rally called by RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav in the past. Nadda accused the RJD and Congress of prioritizing their leaders' ambitions over public welfare, alleging Lalu Prasad Yadav is focused on making his son Chief Minister, while Sonia and Rahul Gandhi are focused on making Rahul the Prime Minister.

Nadda asserted that Bihar has progressed from an era of darkness to light under the NDA government, transitioning from a "BIMARU" state to a leading state. He credited the people's power to vote for making this transformation possible. He pointed out that the railway budget of Bihar has increased ninefold under the NDA, with numerous Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat Express trains operating from the state, and many railway stations being upgraded.

Nadda also mentioned the upgrade of Jay Prakash Narayan Airport in Patna to international standards and plans for another world-class airport in Bihta, bringing the total number of airports in the state to five. He noted the formation of a Youth Commission in Bihar to provide employment opportunities for youngsters.

Several other leaders also campaigned in Bihar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted virtually with BJP's female workers, encouraging them to vote in large numbers to secure a significant victory for the NDA. Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also addressed rallies, drawing comparisons between the "jungle raj" under the RJD and the development witnessed under the NDA rule. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that the NDA's victory would "wipe away all signs of slavery" and announced the renaming of Mohiuddinnagar to "Mohan Nagar".
