Realme is set to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8 Pro, in India on November 20th at 12 PM IST. The launch will coincide with the global debut of the device. The company has officially confirmed the launch date through a dedicated microsite on Flipkart, revealing key specifications and design elements of the upcoming smartphone.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 features an octa-core CPU with two prime cores peaking at 4.6GHz and six performance cores running at up to 3.62GHz. The chip is built on a 3nm process. The device will also feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster performance. To ensure optimal thermal management during intense gaming sessions or heavy multitasking, the smartphone will be equipped with a 7,000 sq mm vapor chamber (VC) cooling system. The phone is also teased to feature a Hyper Vision+ AI chip.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will sport a 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution (1440x3136 pixels) and a dynamic 144Hz refresh rate. The display will also boast a peak brightness of 7,000 nits and HDR10+ support.
For photography, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a triple-camera setup with swappable camera modules and Ricoh GR Imaging. The primary sensor will be a 50MP wide-angle lens with OIS, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope lens with up to 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. A 32MP front camera will handle selfies and video calls.
The device will house a 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support, ensuring a full day's power. The smartphone will run on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. The Realme GT 8 Pro will also feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone will weigh approximately 214g and feature a metal frame with a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. The phone will be available in Urban Blue and Diary White.
The Realme GT series is known for high-end, gaming-focused Android smartphones. The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to be available for purchase via Flipkart, Realme's official e-store, and select offline partners. While pricing details are yet to be officially revealed, the Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to start under Rs 60,000 in India. The smartphone will compete with the likes of the iQOO 15 and OnePlus 15.
