Celebrated composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has lauded Rashmika Mandanna's performance in her latest film, "The Girlfriend," suggesting she deserves a National Award for her portrayal. DSP, known for his work in films like "Pushpa: The Rule," commended Mandanna's ability to portray innocence in "The Girlfriend" after showcasing versatile performances in movies like "Pushpa," "Animal," "Chaava," and "Kuberaa". He highlighted the depth in her expressions as mindblowing, stating that she "just lived it!".

"The Girlfriend," directed by Rahul Ravindran, explores the complexities of love and toxic relationships. DSP praised Ravindran for handling such a sensitive subject with brilliance and lauded the producers, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Geetha Arts, for bringing this beautiful emotion to the screen.
