The Telugu film industry is bracing for a potentially significant box office clash in March 2026, with three major films slated for release around the same time. Dulquer Salmaan's "Aakasamlo Oka Tara," Ram Charan's "Peddi," and Nani's "The Paradise" are all expected to draw considerable audiences, setting the stage for intense competition.
"Aakasamlo Oka Tara," directed by Pavan Sadineni, is scheduled for a theatrical release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam under Light Box, Swapna Cinemas, Vyjayanthi Movies, and Geetha Arts banners. While an exact release date is not available, it is expected to be released on December 6, 2025. This project marks Dulquer Salmaan's 40th movie in his 13-year career.
Ram Charan's "Peddi," directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is set to release on March 27, 2026. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor and Kannada actor Shivarajkumar in key roles. The first glimpse of Ram Charan in a rugged look, sporting a long beard and nose ring, was released in April 2025. A.R. Rahman is composing the music for "Peddi". The music rights were acquired by T-Series for ₹35 crore.
Nani's "The Paradise," directed by Srikanth Odela, is scheduled to hit screens on March 26, 2026. The film explores the struggles of a marginalized tribe and features Nani in a gritty and intense role. Srikanth Odela previously collaborated with Nani on the blockbuster "Dasara". Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for "The Paradise". The film is planned to premiere in eight languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, English, and Spanish. Raghav Juyal has also joined the cast.
The close proximity of these releases is reminiscent of previous instances of multiple big films clashing at the box office. The Sankranthi 2024 clash, for example, featured six major films. Such situations often lead to concerns about theatre availability and screen allocation.
With "Peddi" slated for March 27, 2026, and "The Paradise" locked for March 26, 2026, the industry will be watching closely to see if "Aakasamlo Oka Tara" will also vie for a release date in late March, or if the makers will choose to release the movie on December 6, 2025.
