Recently evicted Bigg Boss 19 contestant Neelam Giri has stirred up controversy by questioning the authenticity of Tanya Mittal's friendship with Farrhana Bhatt. In an exclusive interview, Neelam shared her perspective on the evolving dynamics inside the Bigg Boss house, particularly Tanya's growing closeness with Farrhana.
Neelam stated that she doesn't believe Tanya has replaced her with Farrhana, noting that their camaraderie was evident even when she was still in the house. She suggested that Tanya might be strategically aligning herself with Farrhana to gain more visibility in the game. "Maybe Tanya is playing a game and she feels she'll be more seen if she spends time with Farhana. Maybe that's her intention," Neelam commented. While she admitted to initially feeling hurt when Tanya started gravitating towards Farrhana, she claims she is no longer affected.
During her 11-week stay in the Bigg Boss 19 house, Neelam developed a close bond with Tanya Mittal. However, their friendship faced scrutiny, with some viewers and housemates accusing Tanya of using Neelam for her own game. When asked directly if she thought Tanya's friendship was fake, Neelam said, "Tanya ki dosti fake hai main yeh kabhi maan hi nahi sakti. Jitna importance maine usko diya, utna importance usne bhi mujhe diya hai. So, Tanya ki dosti fake kateh hi nahi so sakti (sic).". This translates to "I can never believe that Tanya's friendship is fake. The amount of importance I gave her, she also gave me the same amount of importance. So, I cannot cut Tanya's friendship as fake.".
Adding fuel to the fire, a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar saw the majority of contestants labeling Tanya and Farrhana's friendship as "pretentious and strategic" during a task with celebrity guests. Host Salman Khan also weighed in, exposing Tanya's manipulative tactics and hypocrisy, further intensifying the doubts surrounding her relationships within the house. He criticized her for gossiping and then feigning guilt for the audience. Salman also slammed Farrhana for derogatory remarks about Gaurav Khanna and the television industry.
Neelam also addressed the controversy surrounding Tanya's alleged exaggeration of her wealth. She stated that she hadn't looked into the truthfulness of Tanya's claims, emphasizing that she values their friendship regardless. "Whether she lied or not - I don't know about that. But I still pray that whatever she has said is actually true so that other people are proven wrong," Neelam added.
Furthermore, Neelam addressed an incident where she and Tanya were called out for body-shaming Ashnoor Kaur. She claimed that Tanya attempted to shift the entire blame onto her. Neelam stated that she felt guilty and apologized immediately, but Tanya only apologized to Abhishek Bajaj, which she found wrong.
Despite the drama and accusations, Neelam expressed a desire to meet Farrhana Bhatt outside the house, but only to receive an apology for her actions inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. She made it clear that she wants Farrhana to apologize for her behavior towards her during the show.
