Following the Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) disappointing performance in the recent Bihar elections, a family feud has erupted, drawing attention to two figures close to Tejashwi Yadav: Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat. Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and sister of Tejashwi Yadav, has publicly blamed these two individuals for the party's electoral defeat and announced her departure from politics and disownment of her family.

Sanjay Yadav, an RJD Rajya Sabha MP, has been a long-time associate of Tejashwi Yadav. He joined the RJD in 2012 after befriending Tejashwi and is credited with helping the party's rise in Bihar. Some reports indicate Sanjay hails from Haryana. Within the party, Sanjay is viewed as a key strategist and advisor to Tejashwi. However, he has also faced criticism, with Tej Pratap Yadav, Rohini's brother, previously referring to him as "Jaychand," a historical reference to betrayal.

Rameez Nemat, also a close aide to Tejashwi Yadav, hails from Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh and is the son-in-law of former Samajwadi Party MP Rizwan Zaheer. Rameez's connection to a political family in Uttar Pradesh hints at links to Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party. Rameez and Tejashwi are reportedly friends from their cricketing days. Currently, Rameez is responsible for managing Tejashwi's daily schedule, campaign activities, and the RJD's social media presence and is considered a part of Tejashwi's core team.

Adding to the complexity, Rameez Nemat has faced serious criminal charges, including accusations of conspiracy and murder related to the death of Firoz 'Pappu', the former chairman of Tulsipur Nagar Panchayat, in 2022. Despite the pending criminal case, Rameez has steadily gained influence within Tejashwi's inner circle.

Rohini Acharya's outburst against Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat stems from accusations that they sidelined her during the election process and are attempting to avoid accountability for the RJD's poor performance. She has alleged that questioning their role in the election led to threats, abuse, and humiliation, even claiming she was "hit with slippers" for naming them.

Acharya's dramatic announcement has intensified the internal strife within the Yadav family and the RJD. Her public accusations have cast a spotlight on the individuals surrounding Tejashwi Yadav and their potential influence on party affairs.
