Vignesh Shivan's Adorable Response to Nayanthara's "Toxic" First Look Captivates Fans Online: A Viral Sensation

The internet is buzzing with reactions to Nayanthara's first look as Ganga in the upcoming film Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups, and one reaction, in particular, is stealing hearts: that of her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. The poster, unveiled on December 31, 2025, by Yash, who leads the cast of the film, immediately grabbed attention, and Vignesh Shivan's response was among the first.

Vignesh Shivan, clearly in awe of his wife, reshared the striking poster on his Instagram Stories. He simply wrote "Wow" accompanied by a mouth-open emoji, followed by heart-eyes and red-heart emojis, expressing his admiration for Nayanthara's commanding screen presence.

The poster features Nayanthara in a fierce and elegant avatar, walking confidently through a doorway with a gun in her hand. She is dressed in a sleek black outfit with a thigh-high slit and matching boots, locking eyes with the camera and exuding authority. The visual language establishes Ganga as a woman who commands attention and power.

Fans have also flooded social media with praise for Nayanthara's bold styling and intense portrayal. Some fans even compared her look to her iconic character, Sasha, from the 2007 film Billa. One fan commented, "Billa Sasha 2.0!" while others expressed their excitement and anticipation for the film. One user wrote, "Every update feels like a festival," and another added, "Queen vibes only! This look just raised the bar — Toxic already feels legendary".

However, the first look has also sparked debate online, with some users expressing mixed reactions to her styling. Some have criticised the poster, with some even calling it a "ghatiya copy".

Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas and features Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi as Nadia and Elizabeth, respectively. Mohandas shared her thoughts on casting Nayanthara, stating that she wanted to showcase her in a way she had never been seen before. She added that as the shoot progressed, she realised how closely Nayanthara's personality echoed the soul of the character. "It wasn't imitation, it was alignment," she said. "I found my Ganga, so brilliantly performed by her, and even more unexpectedly, I found a dear friend".

The film, produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, is slated for release on March 19, 2026. It has been filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages.
