2. Powerful Performance with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
The OnePlus 15R will be the first smartphone globally to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. While it's a tier below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it's still expected to deliver powerful performance. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 comprises two cores operating at 3.32GHz and six cores working at 3.80GHz, paired with the Adreno 829 GPU. A Geekbench listing revealed the device scored 2784 in the single-core test and 9329 points in the multi-core test.

The device will support 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, ensuring quick power replenishment. OnePlus claims the battery will maintain at least 80% capacity after four years of operation. The battery incorporates Silicon Nanostack technology, using 15% silicon content in the anode to achieve higher energy density.
4. Display and Design
The OnePlus 15R is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness touching 3,600 nits. Some sources mention a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The display is also expected to have a 450PPI pixel density. The phone may measure 8.3mm in thickness and weigh around 215 grams. Color options may include Black and a new Green finish. It is also expected to sport IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings.
5. Camera Capabilities and Other Features
The OnePlus 15R is expected to feature a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel selfie shooter is reportedly included. OnePlus has also confirmed that the 15R will be able to record 4K video at 120fps. The device will run on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The OnePlus 15R is expected to be priced around Rs 44,999 in India.
