The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the opening of applications for its incentive scheme, aimed at financially supporting candidates who successfully clear the BPSC preliminary examination. Under the scheme, qualifying candidates are eligible to receive a one-time financial assistance to help them prepare for the BPSC main examination. The incentive amount varies based on the candidate's category. For instance, in the past, women candidates from the general category have been granted ₹1 lakh upon clearing the prelims. Similarly, male Divyangjan candidates from backward classes, economically weaker sections, and general categories will receive ₹50,000 for clearing the BPSC prelims. These incentives are directly transferred to the candidate's bank account.

In the past, the scheme was extended to general category women aspirants, in addition to candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). To apply for the incentive, candidates are required to submit an online application along with the necessary documents. The Women and Child Development Corporation (WCDC) of the state government is often responsible for managing the application process and disbursing the incentive amount.
