Hyderabad, India – Eric Swider, a Director at Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), announced plans for firms he represents to invest ₹1 lakh crore (approximately $12 billion USD) in Telangana over the next decade. The investment is primarily directed towards the state's ambitious "Bharat Future City" project and associated development initiatives.
Swider made the announcement at the inaugural session of the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held at the Bharat Future City in Kandukur, Ranga Reddy district. He expressed his appreciation to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Telangana government for their hospitality and investor-friendly environment.
"I would like the Honorable Chief Minister to know that over the next 10 years, it is my intention to deploy through our organizations, up to Rs 1 lakh crore into the Future City and into the areas of development here, and I'm very, very grateful for that opportunity," Swider stated.
Swider lauded India's emergence as a global technology leader, emphasizing that the concentration of technology capitalists is increasingly originating from India. He highlighted Telangana's innovative ecosystem and openness to investors as key factors in attracting this significant investment. He previously served as CEO of Digital World Acquisition Corp, which merged with Trump Media and Technology.
The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 aims to showcase the state's developmental journey, economic strengths, and collaboration opportunities. The event has drawn participation from approximately 2,000 visitors, including 154 delegates from 44 countries. Dignitaries from various sectors, including film, sports, and education, are also in attendance.
The summit serves as a platform for the release of the "Telangana Rising Vision 2047" document, a roadmap outlining the state's ambition to become a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The vision focuses on attracting global talent, enhancing the ease of doing business, and transforming agriculture through technology and sustainable practices.
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy noted India's rise as a global investment hub, attributing the growth to increased transparency and accountability in governance. He cited advancements in mobile manufacturing, infrastructure development, and metro rail expansion as evidence of India's growth trajectory.
Telangana's IT and Industries Minister, D. Sridhar Babu, emphasized the state's role as a model in manufacturing, construction, and infrastructure.
The summit features addresses from prominent figures, including Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Kailash Satyarthi. Discussions and sessions cover diverse topics such as technology, sustainable development, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic growth.
A humanoid robot named "Ex Man" from China greeted delegates at the Bharat Future City entrance, adding a futuristic element to the summit.
