Apple Fitness+ is currently available in countries including the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, and the UAE. On December 15, it will expand to India, Chile, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Vietnam, and 17 additional markets. Japan will receive access in early 2026, accompanied by Japanese dubbing. German and Spanish dubbing will also be introduced on December 15.
Customers who purchase a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 from Apple or authorized resellers will receive three months of Fitness+ for free. To access the service, users need an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.1, or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 7.2, paired with compatible iPhones.
Features and Content
Apple Fitness+ offers 12 workout types, including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation, with sessions ranging from five to 45 minutes. Users can access the workouts through the Fitness app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
The service integrates with Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3, displaying real-time metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, and Activity ring progress onscreen during workouts. It also includes a "Burn Bar," which allows users to compare their effort against anonymized data from others who have completed the same workout.
Apple Fitness+ also features Custom Plans that automatically build personalized workout and meditation schedules based on a user's preferred activities, trainers, music, and duration. Users can also choose from pre-made options like Stay Consistent, Push Further, and Get Started. Workouts can be filtered by length to help users fit sessions into their day.
The service is integrated with Apple Music, and a new K-Pop genre is being added across all workout types. This joins existing genres such as Hip-Hop/R&B, Upbeat Anthems, and Latin Grooves. The Artist Spotlight series showcases dedicated workout playlists from major artists.
Apple Fitness+ also offers Time to Walk, an audio walking experience for iPhone and Apple Watch that features stories, photos, and music from influential figures.
Jay Blahnik, Apple's vice president of Fitness Technologies, stated that Fitness+ has helped inspire users to live a healthier day through its seamless integration across Apple devices.
