Jaipur, India – A group of 15 tourists experienced a harrowing escape when the bus they were traveling in caught fire during a safari at Nahargarh Biological Park on Monday. According to park officials, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, December 7, 2025, when smoke was detected shortly after the bus entered the jungle area.

The driver and staff promptly alerted the control room via wireless communication. A Forest Department team arrived quickly to evacuate the tourists, ensuring their safety. All passengers were able to disembark the vehicle before the fire intensified.

The bus continued to emit smoke and eventually caught fire. The fire brigade was called to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, but the vehicle was completely destroyed. "Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit might have caused the fire," an official stated. The destroyed bus has been sent for a technical inspection.

Nahargarh Biological Park, spread over 720 hectares, is situated approximately 12 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Delhi Highway, nestled within the Aravalli range. It is part of the Nahargarh sanctuary and is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna.
