The Vivo V70 and Vivo T5x 5G are potentially nearing their India launch, as both devices have been allegedly spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website. This listing suggests that Vivo is preparing to introduce these handsets to the Indian market soon.
The Vivo V70 is speculated to be the successor to the Vivo V60, which was launched in August. While details are still emerging, reports suggest the Vivo V70 could be a rebranded Vivo S50. A recent Geekbench listing suggests the Vivo V70 will feature the same chipset as its predecessor, the Vivo V60. The listing indicates an octa-core processor with a prime core clocked at 2.8GHz, four performance cores at 2.40GHz, and three efficiency cores running at 1.84GHz. The device is expected to run on Android 16 and come with 8GB of RAM. It achieved scores of 1,235 and 3,920 in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Despite these leaked specifications, some information should be taken with a grain of salt until official details are released.
Adding to the intrigue, a "Lite" version of the V70 has also been spotted. The Vivo V70 Lite 4G appeared on the Bluetooth certification website with model number V2549. FCC filings suggest it will be an affordable 4G handset with support for dual-band Wi-Fi, 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB storage. It is speculated that, like the V60 Lite, the V70 Lite could come in both 4G LTE and 5G variants, with varying specifications.
The Vivo T5x 5G is expected to be priced around ₹11,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It may come in colors like Midnight Black and Sky Blue. The T5x 5G is rumored to have a 6.67-inch IPS LCD with a pixel density of 401 ppi. The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera, while the front camera may be 8MP. The device is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, running on Android v14. A 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging is also anticipated.
While specific launch dates remain unconfirmed, the BIS listings suggest that both the Vivo V70 and Vivo T5x 5G could be available in India soon.
