Publicis Groupe India Appoints Atique Kazi as CEO of Performics India
Publicis Groupe India has announced the appointment of Atique Kazi as the Chief Executive Officer of Performics India. This strategic move aims to further bolster the Groupe's media operations and strengthen its focus on performance-led digital capabilities within the Indian market. The appointment was made public on Monday, December 15, 2025.
In his new role, Kazi will be responsible for leading Performics India, Publicis Groupe's performance marketing agency. He will report directly to Lalatendu Das, CEO of Publicis Media South Asia. Kazi's mandate includes building upon the agency's recent growth and refining its position within Publicis Groupe's broader digital and media offerings.
Lalatendu Das commented that Atique's appointment marks a significant step forward for Performics India. He added that Kazi's expertise in developing complex digital ecosystems will be invaluable in strengthening the company's media and performance capabilities.
Alongside Kazi's appointment, Publicis Media has elevated Gautam Surath to the position of Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. In this newly created role, Surath will spearhead a team focused on scaling capabilities across various key digital areas, including influence, data and analytics, search, commerce, programmatic, and martech. Surath will also support Kazi during the transition period at Performics India over the next few months.
Surath, who has been closely involved with Performics India's expansion over the years, will now focus on a broader mandate across Publicis Media India. He said his priority would be to strengthen the Groupe's capabilities across data, influence, technology and performance, as these areas are central to how clients drive growth.
Kazi brings over two decades of experience in digital media, data-driven marketing, technology, and scaled transformation. He has partnered with leading brands to accelerate programmatic maturity, advance platform-driven solutions, and unlock scaled transformation across categories. His expertise is expected to drive Performics India to set new benchmarks in the digital marketing domain.
