Ousmane Dembele and Sarina Wiegman were among the biggest winners at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, held in Doha. The awards recognized the most outstanding players and coaches in men's and women's football between August 11, 2024, and August 2, 2025.
Ousmane Dembele was crowned The Best FIFA Men's Player. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and France forward received the award after a stellar season, during which he played a crucial role in PSG's historic Champions League triumph. The dynamic attacker scored eight goals and provided six assists in the Champions League campaign. The 28-year-old was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of both the Champions League and Ligue 1 for the 2024/25 season. Dembele also helped PSG secure a domestic treble, winning Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophee des Champions. In addition, the team reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Sarina Wiegman was named The Best FIFA Women's Coach for a record-extending fifth time. Wiegman was recognized for her leadership in guiding England to retain their European Championship title at the Euro 2025. In a pre-recorded video, Wiegman thanked FIFA and everyone who voted, also congratulating the other nominees. She dedicated the award to her players and staff and advocated for the continued advancement of women's football.
Aitana Bonmati won The Best FIFA Women's Player award for the third consecutive year. The Barcelona and Spain midfielder also won the Women's Ballon d'Or for the third time. She helped Barcelona win the domestic treble and reach the Champions League final. Bonmati was also named Player of the Tournament after Spain reached the Euro 2025 final.
Gianluigi Donnarumma, who played for Manchester City, was named The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper. Hannah Hampton from Chelsea, was selected as The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper.
The FIFA Puskas Award, for the best goal, was awarded to Santiago Montiel for his overhead strike for Independiente against Independiente Rivadavia. The FIFA Fair Play Award was presented to Dr. Andreas Harlass-Neuking, and the FIFA Fan Award went to Zakho SC fans.
The Best FIFA Men's XI included Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, William Pacho, Virgil van Dijk, Nuno Mendes, Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Vitinha, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, and Ousmane Dembele. The Best FIFA Women's XI included Hannah Hampton, Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo.
