Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's spy drama, "Dhurandhar," is making waves at the box office, having already entered the coveted ₹500 crore club in India. The film's unstoppable run continues, with expectations high that it will surpass previous blockbusters like "Pathaan" and "Gadar 2".
As of December 19, 2025, "Dhurandhar" had earned ₹22.50 crore on Friday, bringing its total India net collection to ₹483 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Experts predict that the film will cross the ₹500 crore milestone domestically within the next few days. On the global front, "Dhurandhar" has already crossed the ₹700 crore mark, reaching ₹737.5 crore worldwide.
"Dhurandhar" has recorded impressive occupancy rates, with 31.17 percent on Friday across 5,087 shows. Despite entering its second week, the film has maintained strong footfalls, especially in metro cities. Delhi-NCR recorded the highest number of shows at 1,492, with an occupancy rate of 32%, followed by Mumbai with 1,138 shows and 27.33% occupancy.
The movie has outperformed several recent pan-India blockbusters, including "Salaar," "Jailer," and "Leo". While "Dhurandhar" is behind "Pathaan," which recorded ₹543.09 crore, it has performed better than other spy-universe titles like "Tiger 3" and "War".
"Dhurandhar" has also become the highest-grossing Indian film in IMAX in India, surpassing "KGF: Chapter 2". In its two-week IMAX run, the film earned approximately ₹16.50 crore gross.
"Dhurandhar" is the biggest hit of Ranveer Singh's career, marking his first solo film close to the ₹500 crore mark in India. His previous biggest grosser, "Padmaavat," crossed ₹500 crore worldwide over its entire run, while "Dhurandhar" is outperforming all of Singh's previous releases.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, "Dhurandhar" is a two-part gangster saga, with the second installment scheduled for release on Eid 2026. The film features an ensemble cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
The film's success has been lauded by the film fraternity and audiences alike. Veteran exhibitor Raj Bansal believes that "Dhurandhar" will be the highest-grossing Hindi film before the year ends, surpassing all previous records.
