Tom Holland Completes Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Signaling a Fresh Chapter for the Web-Slinging Hero.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day Wraps Production

Filming has officially concluded on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland. Director Destin Daniel Cretton announced the wrap on Saturday via a heartfelt Instagram post, celebrating the cast and crew.

Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved, calling the film "the biggest, most rewarding film I've ever been a part of". He specifically thanked Holland for his "kind, generous leadership on and off screen, for your relentless work ethic, your fearless performances, and for your friendship".

Production for Brand New Day commenced in Scotland in August 2025. However, filming experienced a brief pause in September after Holland sustained a mild concussion during a stunt. Production resumed near the end of November after Holland's recovery.

Brand New Day picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw Peter Parker make the difficult choice to erase himself from the memories of everyone he knows, including MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), to save the multiverse. The film will explore Peter's journey as he navigates a world where he is truly on his own, without the support of the Avengers or his closest friends.

Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. The cast also includes new faces to the MCU, such as Liza Colon-Zayas (The Bear), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Tramell Tillman (Severance), and Marvin Jones III (Tombstone). Mark Ruffalo will also return as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Michael Mando, who appeared as Scorpion in a post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Homecoming, is also slated to return.

Adding to the speculation, rumors are swirling about the appearance of other Marvel characters. Some reports suggest that another Marvel-Netflix character, besides Jon Bernthal's Punisher and the ninja order The Hand, will feature in the film.

A purported teaser trailer for Brand New Day recently surfaced online, showcasing the aftermath of Doctor Strange's spell in No Way Home. However, details surrounding the leak remain unclear.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, is slated for release on July 31, 2026. With filming wrapped, the film is now moving into post-production. Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige serve as producers for the film.
