Nara Lokesh advises Andhra Pradesh students: Live ethically, choose actions you'd be comfortable sharing with your mother.

Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh has urged students to make responsible life choices, particularly emphasizing the importance of values and personal responsibility among young people. In a message directed at Generation Z, Lokesh advised students to "not do anything that you cannot tell your mother about," during the 'Hello Lokesh' programme in Rajahmundry.

Lokesh, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), shared this message on 'X', describing it as simple advice. He believes that young people should make choices they would never hesitate to share with their mothers. This statement underscores Lokesh's emphasis on strong family values and the role of parental guidance in shaping the decisions of the youth.

Nara Lokesh, born on January 23, 1983, is a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh politics. Besides his role as the Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Real Time Governance and Human Resources Development, he is known for his commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh through technology-driven governance, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic growth. He has been instrumental in positioning Andhra Pradesh as a premier destination for innovation and investment in India.

Lokesh's educational background includes an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Management Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University. Before assuming his current ministerial responsibilities, he served as the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications from 2017 to 2019. During that period, he introduced transformative initiatives such as Jalavani, a real-time water grievance system that saved the state significant amounts annually through digital monitoring.

In addition to promoting responsible decision-making among students, Lokesh has been actively addressing critical issues related to job creation and investment in Andhra Pradesh. Recently, he criticized the filing of Public Interest Litigations (PILs) against major IT park projects in the state, accusing ex-Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of attempting to obstruct job creation. Lokesh highlighted that these projects have the potential to generate over one lakh jobs for the youth of Andhra Pradesh and reiterated the government's commitment to defending projects that generate livelihoods and economic growth.

Lokesh's vision for Andhra Pradesh involves leveraging technology and innovation to drive economic growth and create opportunities for young people. He has played a crucial role in attracting investments from global players like Google, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra, and is focused on expanding the IT footprint in the state. His efforts include advancing IT Parks 2.0, high-speed digital corridors, and AI & Deep Tech clusters to attract global enterprises and start-ups.

Nara Lokesh's advice to students reflects his broader commitment to fostering a society grounded in strong values and personal responsibility. His emphasis on making choices that one would be comfortable sharing with their mother serves as a simple yet powerful reminder of the importance of ethical considerations in decision-making. As Andhra Pradesh's IT Minister, Lokesh continues to focus on creating an environment where the youth can thrive and contribute to the state's growth and development.
