The incident occurred in the morning when seven villagers had gathered in the basement of the house to warm themselves around a bonfire.
The victims were trapped under the debris after the sudden collapse of the newly constructed wall. Approximately 50 locals rushed to the scene, using shovels and other tools to remove the debris in an effort to rescue those trapped. The rescue operation reportedly took about two and a half hours.
