In a recent interview, Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, addressed rumors surrounding her husband's alleged affair with another woman, stating that 2025 has been a particularly difficult year for her due to the ongoing speculation. Sunita clarified that the woman in question is not an actress and asserted that the relationship is driven by financial gain rather than genuine affection.
"I treat 2025 as a very bad year for me because I've been hearing about Govinda's controversy that he is having an affair with a girl," Sunita said in an interview with ETimes. "But I know that she's not an actress because actresses don't do such bad things. She doesn't love him; she only wants his money".
Sunita's remarks are a direct response to months of speculation and rumors about Govinda's alleged involvement with a younger woman. Earlier in the year, reports surfaced suggesting a possible separation between Govinda and Sunita, further fueling the rumors. However, Sunita dismissed these claims during a public appearance at a Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, where she and Govinda appeared together, seemingly dispelling the rumors.
Despite the public appearance, the speculation persisted, prompting Sunita to address the issue directly. She expressed the emotional toll the controversy has taken on her and her family. Sunita emphasized that Govinda's priority should be his mother, wife, and daughter, stating that "No one has a right to keep the fourth woman in their life". She urged Govinda to distance himself from those who she believes are opportunistic and are driven by financial benefits rather than genuine loyalty. "I want Chi Chi to leave all his chamchas and focus on his work because even they are with him for money," she said.
Looking ahead to 2026, Sunita expressed her desire for a more peaceful and happy family life. "I wish to change my life in 2026. I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026. I hope it happens very soon," she stated.
On a personal note, Sunita shared her ambitions for the new year, expressing a desire for independence and professional growth. "I want to work round the clock this year. Get a house for myself in Mumbai Juhu area, own a nice car for myself, and work the entire year like a bomb. I don't want to sit at home," she said. She also expressed gratitude to those who have supported her.
Govinda and Sunita have been married for over three decades and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Tina made her Bollywood debut in 2015, and Yashvardhan is preparing to follow in his father's footsteps. Despite the challenges and rumors, Sunita's recent statement underscores her commitment to her family and her hope for a more peaceful future.
