Redmi is gearing up to launch its latest devices in India, including the Redmi Note 15 series and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro tablet, on January 6, 2026. These devices are expected to offer a blend of performance and features targeting the mid-range segment.
Redmi Note 15 Series: Expected Details
The Redmi Note 15 5G is expected to come in three variants: the Redmi Note 15 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. Leaks suggest the Redmi Note 15 will feature 8GB of RAM and potentially two storage options. The 128GB variant may be priced at ₹22,999, while the 256GB variant could cost ₹24,999. For comparison, the Redmi Note 14 launched with the 8GB+128GB version at ₹19,999 and the 8GB+256GB version at ₹21,999.
The Indian version of the Redmi Note 15 will have different specifications and software tweaks compared to the Chinese version. It is confirmed to feature a 108MP primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization). The phone is also expected to have a large 5520mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Recent teasers confirm the Redmi Note 15 5G will have a slim 7.35mm body and an IP66 rating for dust and splash resistance. The device will sport a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3200 nits of peak brightness, and TUV Triple Eye Care certification. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro: Expected Details
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G will launch in India on January 6th alongside the Redmi Note 15 series. A key feature of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G is its large 12,000mAh battery. The company claims this is the largest battery in a tablet with a 12.1-inch display.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G will feature a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. The tablet also features a quad-speaker setup supporting Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro is expected to come in both Wi-Fi and 5G models. The price is likely to fall between ₹20,000 and ₹30,000. In Europe, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro starts at EUR 379.9 (roughly Rs 40,000). The Indian pricing could be more aggressive.
