Kriti Sanon is taking her time to find the right story for her next production venture. After making her producing debut with "Do Patti" in 2024, the actress-producer says she is not rushing to announce her next project. She is currently exploring different ideas and waiting for a script that she truly connects with.
"Honestly, I haven't found anything that I have set my heart on to produce," Sanon told Mid-Day. She further added that there is some work in progress on a few ideas and the team is trying to figure out what works best and can translate into a beautiful script. However, nothing has completely materialized yet. "I am trying to figure out the next part of the upcoming project for my production house," she stated.
Sanon is clear that producing doesn't always mean she has to act in the film. She stated that she doesn't intend to act in all her productions. However, if a story excites her as an actor and she fits the role, she is open to it. She also shared her desire to tell stories that she connects with and is passionate about.
As a producer, Sanon believes that responsibility goes beyond just storytelling. She emphasizes the importance of equality among the cast and crew, including fair pay structures, respectful treatment, and good working conditions. She hopes to support films that offer women layered and morally grey roles, stories with "heart and soul".
In other news, in August 2025, Sanon purchased a sea-facing duplex penthouse in Mumbai's Pali Hill for ₹78.2 crore. Located in the Supreme Prana project, the 7,302 sq ft penthouse spans the 14th and 15th floors and includes six car parking spaces. The deal was priced at approximately ₹1.18 lakh per sq ft, ranking among the costliest residential transactions in the city's suburbs. As a woman homebuyer, Sanon availed a 1% concession on the stamp duty, paying ₹3.91 crore.
Prior to this, in July 2024, Sanon bought a 2,000 sq ft plot in Alibaug for over ₹2 crore.
On the acting front, Kriti Sanon was last seen in "Tere Ishk Mein" with Dhanush. She will also be seen in "Cocktail 2" alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
