Kim Kardashian clarifies the removal of Meghan & Harry pictures from Kris Jenner's party: The real reason why.

Kim Kardashian has finally addressed the reason behind the deletion of photos featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from social media posts after Kris Jenner's 70th birthday party. The reality TV star explained the situation on her sister Khloe Kardashian's podcast, "Khloe In Wonder Land".

According to Kim, the photos were initially posted with the understanding that it was "totally cool" to do so. However, after the posts went live, it was realized that the party coincided with Remembrance Day in the UK. Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion honoring the courage and sacrifice of military service members. Concerns arose that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might not want to be seen at a party on such a day. To be respectful, the decision was made to remove the photos.

Kim clarified that the removal was not due to any falling out between Kris Jenner and Meghan Markle, refuting rumors that had circulated. She emphasized that her mother and Meghan have been friends for years and share a "really sweet relationship". Kardashian described the situation as "really innocent" and even "so crazy," suggesting the concern over the photos might have been an overreaction in hindsight. She recounted that after the photos were taken down, "I think they realized, like, 'Oh, this was so silly'".

The incident, now jokingly referred to as "Photogate" within the Kardashian family, led Kim to reflect on how the situation was handled. She expressed regret that the removal of the photos was "received for everyone" in a negative way. Kim suggested that a more lighthearted approach, such as a humorous Skims campaign referencing the deletion, might have been better received.

Adding to the conflicting narratives, People magazine reported that a source close to Meghan and Harry claimed the couple hadn't agreed to have photos of them taken and shared from the party, and had supposedly marked "no" on a photo consent form. However, another source close to the event disputed this, stating that "there were no consent forms". People magazine noted that they have reached out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.

Despite the conflicting reports, one thing is clear: the removal of the photos sparked considerable speculation and discussion. Kim Kardashian's recent explanation aims to provide clarity and dispel rumors surrounding the event, painting it as a well-intentioned, albeit perhaps overly cautious, decision made out of respect for Remembrance Day.
