Twinkle Khanna, the actor-turned-author and wife of Akshay Kumar, recently shared insights into her parenting approach, particularly concerning her son, Aarav Bhatia. In a recent interview with The Print, Khanna described Aarav as "soft-hearted" and generous, qualities she admires but also recognizes as potential vulnerabilities. She expressed her concern that Aarav's kind nature might make him susceptible to being taken advantage of by others.

Khanna emphasized the importance of tailoring parenting advice to each child's unique personality. She noted that Aarav's inherent kindness has been a consistent trait since his childhood. Because of this, she has always encouraged him to establish boundaries to protect himself from those who might exploit his generosity. "My son is very kind, soft-hearted, since he was a child. Not just in dating, but with friends and other people too. I always had to tell him to set boundaries because he is so generous, that can sometimes be misused by others," she stated.

In contrast, Khanna also shared her approach to raising her 13-year-old daughter, Nitara. She revealed that she encourages Nitara to be slightly less aggressive and to lower her boundaries a bit. "With my daughter, I tell her she has to lower her boundaries. She is just 13 and she has to be a little less aggressive," Khanna explained. She believes this advice is applicable to all types of relationships, whether romantic, platonic, or otherwise.

Khanna summarized her advice by saying, "For him, a little more assertiveness; for her, a little less". She believes that these adjustments are necessary for her children to navigate the world effectively, emphasizing that her guidance extends beyond romantic relationships to encompass all interpersonal dynamics.

Twinkle Khanna, married to actor Akshay Kumar since 2001, is also a successful author, with books like "Mrs Funnybones," "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad," "Pyjamas Are Forgiving," and "Welcome to Paradise" to her credit. Her willingness to share her parenting experiences provides a glimpse into her approach to raising children in the public eye, balancing the need to protect them while encouraging them to develop into well-rounded individuals.

Khanna's emphasis on recognizing and adapting to each child's personality highlights a nuanced approach to parenting. Her advice to Aarav reflects a desire to equip him with the tools to navigate social interactions confidently and protect himself from potential exploitation, while her guidance to Nitara encourages a balance between assertiveness and openness in her relationships.
