Aishwarya Rajesh: Photographer's Disturbing Request - "I Want To See Your Body" - Actress Recalls Incident.

Aishwarya Rajesh, the award-winning actress known for her roles in films such as "Vada Chennai," "Attakathi," and "Sankranthiki Vasthunam," recently shared a harrowing experience from her early career, shedding light on the challenges young actresses can face in the film industry. In a conversation with Nikhil Vijayendra Simha on his podcast, she recounted a disturbing incident involving a photographer who allegedly pressured her to expose herself.

Rajesh revealed that the incident occurred during a shoot early in her career. "I was very young. I had gone with my brother," she explained. The photographer asked her brother to wait outside, then led her inside and presented her with lingerie. He then allegedly told her, "I want to see your body".

The actress admitted she was shocked and almost went along with the photographer's demand, as she was young and unsure of industry norms. "At that age, we do not have enough knowledge of how the industry works," Rajesh stated. "I thought maybe that is how things work here. I was almost convinced. If he had spoken for five more minutes, I would have gone ahead with it". However, she sensed something was amiss and told the photographer she needed to ask her brother for permission. This gave her the opportunity to leave the situation.

Rajesh also revealed that she never told her brother about the incident. She expressed concern for other young actresses who may have faced similar situations, wondering how many others the photographer may have exploited.

In addition to this disturbing encounter, Rajesh shared another incident where she was publicly scolded by a director for being a few minutes late to the set. The director allegedly shouted at her in front of junior artists and compared her to other actresses. "Scolding was not the problem, but he started comparing me with other actresses," she said. "Even if I made a mistake, one should not scold publicly, right?". Rajesh did not disclose the names of the photographer or the director.

Despite these early challenges, Aishwarya Rajesh has established herself as a prominent actress in the industry. She was recently named Best Actress (Special Prize) for her performances in "Kanaa" and "Vada Chennai". Her recent work includes the Tamil film "Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga," and she is currently working on the upcoming project "Oh..! Sukumari".
