Following the arrival of their twins, a boy and a girl, Tollywood actor Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, have shared their first public statement, expressing their immense joy and gratitude. The couple, who married in June 2012, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Klin Kaara, in June 2023.
In a statement to The Times of India, Ram Charan said, "Being blessed with three children fills me with gratitude. I'm thankful to all our fans, loved ones and well-wishers who have stood by us and supported us through every moment". Upasana added, "My father always believed that clarity of intention and faith go hand in hand. Today, I feel incredibly blessed to be a mother of three, exactly as we envisioned".
The news of the twins' arrival was initially shared by Ram Charan's father, megastar Chiranjeevi, via social media. Chiranjeevi conveyed the family's immense joy and gratitude, confirming that both the babies and Upasana are healthy and doing well. He also thanked everyone for their prayers, love, blessings, and good wishes. "Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents," Chiranjeevi stated, signing the message along with his wife, Surekha.
Ram Charan's sister, Sushmita Konidela, also shared her excitement on social media, stating that 2026 is a truly blessed beginning for their entire family. She expressed her joy at becoming "Attha" (aunt) once again, with double the joy and love this time.
The couple had announced their second pregnancy in October 2025 during Diwali celebrations. Upasana shared a video on X, featuring family members, with the caption, "This Diwali was all about double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings".
Upasana Konidela is the Vice-Chairman of Apollo Charity and granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the founder of Apollo Hospitals.
