She took oath as MP in the 18th Lok Sabha session.

Kangana Ranaut's entry into the 2024 Mandi Lok Sabha elections added a twist to the politics of Himachal. Ranaut began her speech by thanking the Lok Sabha Speaker for allowing her the opportunity to speak during the crucial hours of Parliament's monsoon session. She voiced concerns about the erosion of traditional art forms, including music, attire and culture in the tribal regions of Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Bharmour due to modernisation.

On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in Emergency, where she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She is also preparing for her Hollywood debut with the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil. The film is set to begin production this summer in New York and will be directed by Anurag Rudra.
