Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for his previous work in Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa, Subedaar promises to be an adrenaline-fueled action drama with emotional depth. "The man who once fought for the nation, must now fight enemies within to protect his home and family," encapsulates the essence of the film's narrative. Subedaar is not just about action sequences but also weaves in an emotional father-daughter story, exploring themes of duty, loss, and redemption.
Filming for Subedaar wrapped up in early 2025. Kapoor recently teased fans with a powerful dubbing clip, delivering the line, "Gaur Se Suno!! Subedaar Bol Rahe Hain". The film is produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image, and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network Pvt. Ltd. Triveni co-wrote the film with Prajwal Chandrashekar.
In addition to Subedaar, Anil Kapoor has a busy year ahead. He is also set to appear in King, an action thriller film, scheduled for release on December 24, 2026. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King features a star-studded cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Suhana Khan.
