Soha Ali Khan, known for her roles in films like "Rang De Basanti" and "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster", has always prioritized her personal well-being, creative freedom, and family. In a recent interview, she opened up about her views on motherhood, career, and defying societal expectations.

Khan revealed that she never took the idea of a 'biological clock' seriously and didn't prioritize having kids at a certain age. Motherhood came to her later in life, and that was partly because she wanted to be fully present during her child's early years. Soha and her husband, Kunal Kemmu, welcomed their daughter Inaaya in 2017. Soha focused on raising her daughter and took on fewer acting projects.

Now that Inaaya is six years old and more independent, Soha feels ready to take on more acting assignments. She expressed excitement about the kinds of roles available for women in their 40s, noting that they are becoming more substantial and author-backed. Soha is also working on a production venture with Kunal, a biopic on the veteran lawyer Ram Jethmalani.

Soha is also candid about balancing work and motherhood. She appreciates Inaaya's growing understanding and support for her professional goals. Soha revealed that Inaaya is aware that she has her own dreams and that earning her own income is important.

Soha has learned to prioritize self-care while juggling multiple roles as an actor, mother, wife, and podcast host. She makes sure to dedicate time to activities that support her mental and physical well-being, even if it means sacrificing her social life. She ensures she gets enough sleep and maintains a consistent routine. She said that she will go to bed at 11 PM and winds down from 10 PM, which means eating dinner at 6:30 PM.

Soha is also mindful of her diet and ensures she includes essential nutrients in her and her family's meals. She eats the same breakfast and lunch every day. For breakfast, she has toast, avocado, and eggs, and for lunch, she prefers green vegetables and yellow dal.

Soha recently launched a podcast called "All About Her," where she discusses women's bodies and the changes they undergo with age with celebrities and experts. She was inspired to create the podcast after experiencing changes in her own body, hormones, and life after turning 45. Guests on the podcast include Malaika Arora, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Smriti Irani, Patralekhaa, and Sunny Leone.

On the podcast, Soha revealed that she was told at 35 that she was too old to freeze her eggs. This sparked a discussion about fertility challenges, featuring a fertility expert explaining factors influencing fertility and the ideal age for egg freezing, alongside Sunny Leone sharing her surrogacy experience and costs. Soha's experience highlights the societal pressures and misconceptions surrounding women's reproductive choices.

Soha's approach to parenting involves open communication and teaching her daughter the importance of independence. She and her husband respect Inaaya's emotions and boundaries, even when it comes to small things. She is teaching her the value and weight of the word "No". Soha also acknowledges the challenges of raising a child in the public eye and focuses on helping Inaaya understand the attention without placing too much importance on it.
